I'm not really sure what that has to do with Obama and his campaign actively attempting to silence critics rather than simply offering a rebuttal other than serving as a diversion from something anyone who prizes their ability to have their say without the government intervening to shut them up.
But since you keep bringing this up, I have to ask if you're really prepared to start criticizing African/Kenyan cultural norms just because they're displayed in the context of a political opponent? Would you offer up the same criticism against Obama, of Kenyan descent, if he were to embrace a piece of his Kenyan heritage that might seem a bit strange to us? Should she, or he, were he in the same situation, just have laughed it off and insulted the Bishop? That's certainly diplomatic. Or maybe the Bishop should have just bypassed this line of thinking entirely and just prayed for Obama to take some time out of campaigning to help his poverty-stricken Kenyan half-brother?
